Dancing Moon Pottery was established in 1990.
Set in rural New England, the bright studio overlooks
a small stream . Wild flowers, such as violets, tansy and mullein , and
animals abound- from deer, fox, and wild turkeys to moose, and most recently,
a black bear! This wildness influences the shapes and colors of the pottery. Each stoneware Yankee style bean pot is hand made on the potters wheel in my studio. Each beanpot is glazed with safe , lead free traditional brown and tan glaze so it is dishwasher, oven and microwave ready.  Each bean pot is made to replicate the original Yankee bean pots but these are made with lead free glazes. 
True to Yankee frugality, all pots made are functional in both shape and glaze. Only the safest of materials are used in both the clay and the glazes. The bean pots are replicas of pots made in New England in the 17th & 18th century only with today’s safe materials.
